The Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Moreau is
responsible for the collection of Town & County
Taxes for the Town of Moreau and School Taxes for
the South Glens Falls Central School District, which
includes properties located within the Town of
Moreau,
Village of South Glens Falls, Town of
Wilton and Town of Northumberland.
Tax payments may be paid in person at the Town
Clerk’s Office, 351 Reynolds Road, Moreau, New York
12828-9261, by mail, or online by clicking the links
below.
The U.S. Postal Service Postmark determines
whether a payment is timely or not.
Postage meter marks (i.e. Pitney Bowes) are not
considered U.S. Postmark. If payments are received
after the due date with a postage meter mark, the
payment will be considered late and penalties must
be collected.
You may drop your payment into the black drop box in
the front of the Town Hall building after hours.
However, if a payment is dropped after 4:00 PM on
the due date, we will have to return it for the
penalty amount due

February 1, 2024 through February 28, 2024 - 1%
penalty
March 1, 2024 through March 31, 2024 - 2% penalty
plus a $2.00 reminder notice fee.

After March 31st
, Town & County Taxes are turned over to the
Saratoga County Treasurer’s Office for collection
where
additional penalties and fees are added. Please
contact their offices at (518) 884-4724 for an amount due and
the method of payments that are accepted.

School Tax Collection Period:
September 3, 2024 through October 3, 2024 without penalty
October 4, 2024 through October 31, 2024 with a 2% penalty

after November 1st. They can be reached at
(518) 884-4724 for an amount due and the method of
payments accepted. If your payment is not made to
the Treasurer's office, the tax will be added onto
the following year's Town & County Tax bill.
