All dogs 4 months of age and older must be licensed annually.
Working dogs must be licensed but are exempt from
licensing fees. Working dogs include guide dogs, hearing
dogs, service dogs, war dogs, working search dogs,
detection dogs, police work dogs, and
therapy dogs.
To license a dog, the owner must supply a copy of
an up-to-date rabies vaccination certificate and, if the dog is spayed or neutered, a copy of the certificate from the veterinarian.
