COVID-19 Updates

Supervisor Kusnierz has declared a State of Emergency within the Town of Moreau.

The Town of Moreau continues to be operational at this time, but the Town Hall Building is CLOSED to the public.
In accordance with Governor Cuomo's Executive Order No. 202.4, the Town of Moreau is operating with reduced staff.

Saratoga County
The Saratoga County Department of Public Health continues to work diligently to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in the county.

On March 23, 2020, officials from Saratoga County and Saratoga Hospital hosted a Facebook Live event to answer questions from residents related to COVID-19. The hour-long event was broadcast on the Saratoga County Office of Emergency Services Facebook page. NYS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH COV-ID-19 
Governor Cuomo has put  NY State on PAUSE:  All non-essential workers are directed to work from home
and everyone is required to maintain a 6-foot distance from others in public. NYS DOH COVID-19 UPDATES

 

Zoning Board
The Zoning Board meeting scheduled for March 25, 2020 has been postponed indefinitely.

Town Court
Moreau Town Court has postponed all court matters. Please contact the court at 518-793-3188  or e-mail moreautowncourt@nycourts.gov to receive an update on your court date. Court adjournment letters have been mailed as well.

Town Clerk
The Town of Moreau greatly encourages those who are paying tax and/or water bills to do so via mail or by using the black dropbox outside Town Hall. Items will be collected from the dropbox periodically throughout the day.

Transfer Station
The Transfer Station will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until further notice.

Recreation Department
The Recreational Park will remain open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Planning & Zoning Board
The Planning and Zoning Board meetings have been postponed until further notice.

Moreau Community Center
In the interest of community health and wellness, and in an attempt to help reduce the likelihood of COVID-19 spreading, all NON-ESSENTIAL Center activities and programming will be CANCELLED for the remainder of March and into mid-April. This includes all league activities, senior programs, fundraisers, in-Center social activities, and Thursday night BINGO at St. Michael's.

Saratoga County DMV
Saratoga County Clerk Craig A. Hayner  announced the Saratoga County DMV is closed to the public effective immediately and until April 19, 2020 in accordance with Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.8, dated March 20, 2020, and as part of the ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Any appointments previously made are hereby canceled.

 This guidance applies to each business location individually and is intended to assist businesses in determining
whether they are  an essential business and steps to request such designation.
